# Nebula E-Reader: Thousands of Classics, Free, On Your Phone

The Nebula E-Reader is a full reading app living inside the Games & Utilities tab. It opens thousands of public-domain books — the classics whose copyright has expired and which anyone is free to read — and it also opens your own .txt files.

It is free, with no daily limit.

What you can read

• **Public-domain classics** from open library catalogues: novels, philosophy, poetry, history.
• **Your own text files.** Import a `.txt` from your device and it becomes a proper book with chapters and bookmarks.

Search by title or author, tap a result, and the book opens.

Reading features

• **Themes** — light, sepia and dark, for daylight or a dark bedroom.
• **Adjustable text** so the page suits your eyes rather than the other way round.
• **Table of contents** for jumping between chapters.
• **Bookmarks** that hold your place.
• **Read-aloud narration** using your device's own speech engine — useful while cooking, walking or commuting.

Why it is built this way

Everything renders on your device. There is no reading account, no tracking of what you open, and no advert between chapters. The only thing that leaves your phone is the request that fetches a public book file.

Because those books come from open catalogues maintained by volunteers, a title may occasionally be slow or briefly unavailable. The reader tries alternative mirrors before giving up.

Where to find it

Open Nebula, tap Games & Utilities, and choose Nebula E-Reader. It is free for every signed-in user, with no daily limit, on both the app and the website.
