Nebula Vault: An Encrypted Place for Logins and Seed Phrases
# Nebula Vault: An Encrypted Place for Logins and Seed Phrases
Anyone holding crypto ends up with things that must not be lost and must not leak: a recovery phrase, an exchange login, a backup code. Writing them in the notes app is how people get drained. Nebula Vault is the alternative we built into the app.
It sits in the Games & Utilities tab, it is free, and there is no daily limit.
What it stores
- **Logins** — site, username, password.
- **Seed and recovery phrases**, kept out of screenshots and notes apps.
- **Secure notes** — backup codes, licence keys, anything private.
How it protects them
Entries are encrypted on your device and stay there. The vault is unlocked with your own passphrase, and that passphrase is what derives the encryption key.
This is the important part, so we will be blunt about both sides of it:
- **We cannot read your vault.** The contents never reach Nebula's servers in readable form.
- **We also cannot recover it.** Forget your passphrase and the contents are gone. There is no reset link, because a reset link would mean we held the key.
Choose a passphrase you will remember, and keep a physical backup of anything irreplaceable.
A word on recovery phrases
No legitimate service — Nebula included — will ever ask you for your recovery phrase. If someone does, it is a scam, no matter how convincing the message or how official the profile looks. The vault is a place to store that phrase for yourself, never a reason to share it.
Where to find it
